Progressive studies, watercolors and Oil paintings, miniatures.

 

Some of the progressive studies in watercolors and oils, small miniatures 2.5” by 3.5” and 4” by 6” in size, done in encaustic boards, paper and linen canvas, a mixture of yellows and perm madder medium. Omitting this time earth tones for the oils, working with cool solid colors.

Here is the process of one of my resent painting  5” by 7” 

ACEO Original Watercolor Painting

 

 

 

The little miniature is an ACEO of a girl playing in the sand, original measures exactly 2.5” by 3.5” made in watercolors , you can see movement  and the shadows, realistic look of wet sand, that can be only achieved in watercolors. Lights where left white from the paper.
