Still life oil painting flowers and vase sketch on canvas paper

Titled: “Recovery”

recovery2

Well just like the titled of the painting that is what is happening in my own life, learning to do everything and each and every day is a new experience, yet I have learned to appreciate even more the value of life it self and how beautiful is been able and share my talent with all whom care.

For the upper painting chose one of the life arrangements that a dear friend of mine got me to cheer me up, looking at the vase noticed how blue is the predominant color so chose that to be the theme of the painting, a lighter background, focusing in the petals and the pink ribbon surrounding it, the second painting has more a darker background as well and is titled “learning”, Shadows come to play and a mix of raw sienna and burnt umber played a big role in both paintings.

Grateful to be able and continue with Art and to share this with you, knowing that there’s more progress to come and my life has been completely rearranged for the better.

Still life Oil painting

“On the floor”

on the floor still life painting

This was a simple setup of an orange. Oil on canvas board 9” by 12”

The children wanted to use the blender today, which got me a little nervous since is the first time they are allowed to use it, expecting having blue berries, strawberry smoothie all over the walls.

Wile drinking the mixed berries, asked them if I could borrow one of the oranges to paint, they all agreed at the same time, and say uhuum… and this still life was born. .

Art original oil painting First Harvest Cherries on Canvas

Titled: “First Harvest” 16” by 20” Oil Painting Sketch.

First Harvest

Cherries!  first harvest of  May, farms of South New Jersey.  For this portrait an experience made in to a memory. One of the goals here is to  invite You the viewer to experience the moment and enjoy it as much as the  character, different tones of blues, complementing, and lines that  are used to take you to the center subject, which are the cherries.

From the background down, points out to the center, in return once you get there, the leaves invites your view to stop and jump back and look at the background.

Color an important Psychological part of any painting.  Part of technical, The artwork focus rather in having fun, and enjoyment! Yes skill is required, but should not be  the overall important thing, errors and mistakes in my case are acceptable, because no matter how many years of experience we have, there is always room for improvement.

Iris Flower oil painting still life

Titled: “Growing Wild”

Irisnum4

Giving them an “ants view” bottom up, to see this majestic and beautiful flower, in a different perspective, immediately fell in love with it’s  translucent whites and flow on the background as if nature it self plays a symphony to feast our eyes.

My respects and after the master, Van Gogh who continues to be one of my must beloved and interesting painters to follow up to this day, When I saw this set of Irises said: Have to try them!

DSC08350

I like to introduce you to a new oil painting.  Still Life in Oils 12” by 12”  and for the obvious playing with the background which is painted simultaneously with the still life, aiming for texture and a good color scheme letting it rest or stepping back .

Working from photographs, but ahh que mas da, tengo que jugar con lo que esta a mi alcance en el momento si al verlo te hace feliz, lo demas no importa~
