This painting is one, that makes you think twice, that was exactly the purpose of doing it, painted with emotion, but yet wanting to convey a sense of peace with in... some might disagree because the color scheme might create impact. Well.. your Art might not appeal to everybody yet each painting is a prospect a candidate, is in us to believe in what we do and why we do our Art.

To transmit the same passion, you have and love is as unique as your self. Just like a friend of mine said Nothing beats That Fire! and is true. that is why your emotions plays big part in what you do. Nevertheless it might be for our own contentment that we might do it, to sit down and contemplate, gives you a sense of accomplishment that regardless what other say, when you look at it, you say this is what I wanted.

Since the beginning that you stare at that canvas and realize that has a potential and you begin to see a bigger picture, that will be the next master peace of yours. The same Respect you put in to your work will eventually come out. That same strength that guide you trough will help you, or perhaps those dreams will guide you.. and you push forward.


The Painting in the beginning was Gold, Cooper and Silver but we decided to put black on it, My daughter helped me with the embellishments and suggested the Red ha'ha' ha', smart girl!. This painting has sand, stones, metal gold leaf and modeling paste the size is 24"by 18" those little lumps where made with a palette knife wish gives it a 3 D effect once you look at it, eventually a number 1 of more series to come.

The kind of painting that you don't get tired of looking . That makes your mind and feelings go wabble", and ask questions and make stories. My husband said it terrorizes me! Lol' I said oh honey, it is all in your mind, it depends on how you look at it'.

Brunch

Today Breakfast is all about protein, Lets call it fritatta with a twist, because the eggs are scrambled. filled with proteins that helps keeps you satisfied for a long period of time.

1 cup mushrooms

1/2 cup Spinach

1/3 Mozzarella Cheese

2 Eggs or Whites

1 teaspoon Garlic Paste

1 tab Olive Oil



I used a low calorie Whole Wheat Tortilla half of it.

1 cup of coffee and creamer with Truvia No calorie Sweetener.


I'm always ranting about the importance of exercise, at least 30min a day, will keep you Young and Ravishing! wile proteins like eggs and spinach will give you iron for strength always listen to your body drink water and make sure to take Multivitamins.

If you like, you can substitute the eggs, for egg whites and the coffee for tea, there's always a healthier choice!. Remember to treat your self always with kindness".

Landscape

Completing the task at hand is not easy the lack of time, because of our responsibilities at least that does it in my case.

The painting tackled in a Beautiful Morning promising my Family not to paint on the weekends or during family hours after 7pm. Noticed that setting up priorities and doing my own schedule with flexible time for self and taking breaks with Dates, have being much more helpful (productive) even to complete and feeling rested after painting time.

Artist Dates well it means that one should take self for a date to (pamper self) to do whatever you feel like it, fishing, cooking special recipe, walking, dancing, running, singing, visiting museums, replanting plants or gardening , visiting libraries, sketching, what makes you feel happy?. (in my case was to Rest) just sit down contemplating nature (meditating) does it for me, but also within time included other activities.

Schedule: Early Morning write in a journal wish I have being doing since February constantly! in the beginning where pages of pure nagging, " the curtains are ugly never liked it them" but with in time, "there is something about it in the way the light cast it shadows underneath the second plea* haha what would you know almost have a poem.. get it? (Inspiration) flows..

Being also good to self, Yes Tomorrow will be better! shhhh now one thing a time, first things first, because our artists is more like a child we must nurture it, is all psychological but it is important, you don't want to work with a grumpy neglected One believe me!, specially pushing it for long hours and after 10pm! try for more healthy..

Now painting time is fun! Mondays Wednesdays and Fridays are my painting time no matter what ( no phone calls) unless is an emergency and doing so with One hour rest and oh yeah the coffee breaks. eating well in intervals and drinking enough water.

The results are a much more passive and tranquil scenarios where you see light on the trees. Wanting to incorporate some sheep but because the house is bright Red decided to leave it as is. The painting is 17" by 15" on a watercolor 140lb paper made in Watercolors with a touch of Gouache.

The sky is made entirely in watercolors to give it some transparency and all breathe with peace'.

Adela The Portrait

"Adela"

I began working in gouache for some time, but in Late February have fallen in love with it. The lack of transparency and chalk feeling for a watercolorists is an immediate turn off . Not to be Surprised but Gouache has stand the test to agree that is one of the Best mediums to work with, I tell you why in a minute.

Today we are going to go over one of my favorites by far expressive portraits titled Adela.
As You can observe here the preliminary Sketch is done, this time done with a 4B after that some shadows are added Green and Yellow Oqure and Crimsom for the upper eye lids. Closing in Shadow for her nose making sure where the light is coming from measuring always from left to right in my case", this will give the distinct characteristics of this Beautiful Lady.

Because the medium dries faster the approach of adding more pigment process is fast for the beginning of the portrait, as to really see the shadows the narrow of her cheek bones are more prominent and her neck in this case are rather meaty. Wanting as well to emphasized her big brown eyes using a combination of Rublev Watercolors ,Opaque Watercolors and Gouache not necessarily in that order but all three combined.

Just like a runners" term The Expression Muscle Toner" adding washes of crimson and Orange colors to her cheeks, bring out those Eyes this was also similar adding color to the eye lids and part of her forehead to add a plump full figure".

The fun Part began! Lets dance shall we? Light is here adding more orange and Red in to her Cheeks with out forgetting the lips. The gouache is mixed in with the watercolor middle tone light tone value" plays a Role.

The Face is almost complete adding eyebrows and then more shadows this is made by gradually adding blues and greens colors is just as preference.

Playing with her expression by raising one eyebrow, and adding highlights to the eyes, you can also get the sense of movement in this face. Her Peach complexion and Natural Beauty are Adorable of an Adela .

What's next? well should be able to tackle a darker complexion portrait about time and a male nude and...
