New Artwork Oil painting Landscape "The South" Original hand made on canvas

Friday, July 12, 2013

Photo taken of Art miniature titled: "Best friends"
made in oils, measures 2.5" by 3.5" Art Card on canvas paper,

One of my favorite works, titled: "No play no game" it will be displayed here later on,  it's about the importance to rest and give our selves time, the importance to play, to write, to walk, to run, because an cranky artist is not very happy and hence creativity flow, won't go trough.

Artist after all, yes we are indeed selfish in that matter, if we can't draw we become constipated emotionally and we can't think straight, we get depressed, we don't function, we don't react like others do, I'm sorry we  just don't, so the way to be happy and be better is by letting us do what we should, which is to paint!

Hope you are enjoying your time with your family and friends, here is one of the recent artworks made in oils. One of them is made to have a 3d effect as if you could pull the apple out, this is made by layering right color and pulling, with shadow strengthening with shape and form. The background leads also the viewer in to the still life.

Artwork is available for  Auction

New Oil painting Ballet Dancer Edgar Degas inspired

Edgar Degas Art reproduction “My version”

ballerina

The female form has a certain informality and much beautiful to paint that males, enjoying the poetic rhythmic strokes in each and every drawing and painting that Edgar Degas has done, thought to make something close to honor the master painter.

Enjoying the fall colors and the fiery crimsons that some of he’s paintings have, colorful and full of energy, no wonder he became so popular with he’s ballerinas. But then again, he grew tiresome and moved on to the next stage of he’s life as a painter. This, some did not understood.

As painters we understand why, it is very difficult to limit ourselves to others content, to bend and to please for the sake of others. Even more difficult to deal with ignorance and arrogance sometimes, specially when  the Art is not for the walls, but for the emotion of been able to do it, that art becomes very real and colors have a different meaning, and yes it is ok to abhor our own work and understand is all part of  that process and reaction that only art produces in us, with color and emotion!

Still life oil painting flowers and vase sketch on canvas paper

Titled: “Recovery”

recovery2

Well just like the titled of the painting that is what is happening in my own life, learning to do everything and each and every day is a new experience, yet I have learned to appreciate even more the value of life it self and how beautiful is been able and share my talent with all whom care.

For the upper painting chose one of the life arrangements that a dear friend of mine got me to cheer me up, looking at the vase noticed how blue is the predominant color so chose that to be the theme of the painting, a lighter background, focusing in the petals and the pink ribbon surrounding it, the second painting has more a darker background as well and is titled “learning”, Shadows come to play and a mix of raw sienna and burnt umber played a big role in both paintings.

Grateful to be able and continue with Art and to share this with you, knowing that there’s more progress to come and my life has been completely rearranged for the better.
